The Wedding~ The Dream

To keep my friends from weird emails, I'll tell you that I had a dream about "Bethany and Alfred's" wedding. Of course, Bethany and Alfred aren't their REAL names, but it's a cool confidentiality thing... plus most people know who they are anyway...And remember, dreams aren't supposed to make sense.

So I'm having this dream about their wedding... which isn't weird since they are dating anyway, I figured they'd probably get hitched anyway. They commisioned my family to do the wedding... which is just... wrong... but for some reason my aunt Rose and my other aunt Lori are running around with clipboards. This is a funny sight for me, but now my two wonderfully Baptist friends... are having a Catholic wedding. There goes attention to detail, huh? Who cares, it's my dream, right?

I'm noted to be the reader in this wonderful chaos and I'm standing at the front before the ceremony, when I notice that all of Bethany's side of the family is in black business attire. Knowing Bethany's fam. isn't a 'business attire' type of group... I was struck odd. Bethany's mother, who in real life is an amazing woman named Karen, was now played by a lady that looks like Goldie Hawn with dark short hair. And a business suit. Let's say I'm glad Karen is who Karen is.

Not-Karen is on the phone and she hangs up her cellular with triumph as she says at the kitchen table of my house in Aberdeen (she was seconds ago at the altar, but it's a dream) "The little wee thing we thought about Alfred from here is just the opposite. It turns out in her small town, she's quite the thing. I knew it! It's just like the finale of I love Lucy, season 12."

just a note: if anyone has the seen the finale of season 12 of I love Lucy
can you explain this part to me? Thank you.

I turn back around to see Bethany sitting in the back of the church by a rotating fan with an unkempt look about him and his white tux was be tussled around by the wind. It looked like he needed a good pre-game talking to. So walking down the aisle to Groom-to be, I stood him up and realized he had been drinking green kool-aid with olives in it. (Bethany wouldn't drink Martini's so I only assume it was kool-aid) I took his last drink away from him and started brushing him off. He grabbed hold of my arms... and noticing his discomfort since A) I was wearing a sleeveless shirt and B) he's a modesty-nazi.... I took his hands and put them to his sides. I then told him how great it is that he even has someone as amazing as Alfred and he should lay off the green kool-aid until the reception. Bethany started to cry. He's a very emotional guy, but I didn't mean to be that mean to him. Instead of consoling him, like a good friend, I told him that it was 11 and he should be at the altar already. I then left to find Alfred.

It turns out Alfred got lost finding the church, but said she'd be there after I went to church at 5... if I made it on time.

At this point I woke up to notice it was 5:20pm on Saturday afternoon and had missed 5pm church. Saddened, I told God I was sorry and headed for the showers (I work on Sunday mornings and can't make it then.) As I passing by the bulletin board in my house, I realized that there was another mass at 7pm and I'd be able to make it. I skipped downstairs into my happy shower.

That was a hilarious dream! I've been waiting for comments--I guess everybody must be busy.
